At ContainerPort Group, we believe that driver appreciation isn’t just a one-time event—it’s a commitment we uphold every day. During this year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we took the opportunity to celebrate the dedication of our drivers with some exciting activities, raffles, and events that went above and beyond, showcasing just how much we value their hard work.
One of the week's highlights was celebrating our tenured drivers through our CPG Legends Program, which honors drivers who have been with us for over 20 years. Early in the week, we recognized Edin at our St. Louis terminal, followed by Chelande, Benedict, Jean, and Joseph at our Newark terminal, and rounded out the week by honoring Istvan at our Cleveland terminal on Friday. These drivers exemplify dedication and loyalty, values we hold close at CPG, and it was a proud moment to hear their stories and celebrate their achievements together. We were also proud to recognize our "Safety All-Stars" throughout the week—those who achieved an internal safety score of 90 or above, maintained flawless Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, had no preventable accidents, and passed roadside inspections without a single CSA violation. In addition, each terminal honored a "Driver of the Quarter" —recognizing those who not only met these high safety standards but also went above and beyond as culture champions—serving as mentors to fellow drivers and demonstrating leadership on and off the road. These drivers set the bar for operational excellence and safety, embodying the high standards we strive for at CPG.
Throughout the week, we ramped up the excitement with our “Rev Up Your Ride” raffle, where two fortunate drivers won the chance to choose their dream recreational vehicle. Our winners chose from a great selection of off-road vehicles, jet-skis, snowmobiles, and electric motorcycles—with a Polaris side-by-side and Sea-Doo jet-ski being chosen by our winners from Newark and Columbus.
To round out the week of celebrating, we hosted one of our Pit Stop events, held quarterly, giving drivers a chance to connect with each other and our terminal staff while enjoying refreshments. This event series is a part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that our drivers feel supported and valued throughout the year and encourage them to get to know our terminal staff face to face.
