CPG Named a Top 100 For-Hire Carrier for Fifth Consecutive Year
CLEVELAND, Ohio - ContainerPort Group (CPG®), THE national drayage provider with coast-to-coast coverage, announced that the company has been ranked on the Transport Topics Top 100 For-Hire Carriers list for the fifth consecutive year. CPG moved up 15 spots from 2022 to #78 on this year’s list, tied for the second-largest jump of any carrier on this year’s list.
“CPG continues to demonstrate leadership in the market, evidenced by our incredible results from 2022,” says CPG President Joey Palmer. “We have made strategic investments in our core services and have opened several new locations in response to customer demand. We will continue to invest in order to improve our service offerings and visibility solutions for drivers and customers.”
“Trucking is so critical to our success, and it’s gratifying to see customers and drivers gravitate to the strength of the CPG network,” said Fred Hunger, CEO of World Group, the parent company of CPG. “Beyond our capacity, technology, and proven process, we know that it takes solid relationships to achieve strong results. We are immensely proud of the depth and quality of our relationships with customers. Keeping those strong will help fuel our growth in the future.”
Over the last year, CPG has added Dedicated Services, offering customers white-glove service in multiple locations. The company has enhanced its Customer Experience (CX) division by creating a Single Point of Contact (SPC) for each customer, providing consistent communication and customized service. Recently, the company celebrated the grand opening of a brand-new terminal facility in Charleston, South Carolina, complete with a secured eight-acre lot for parking. Additional terminal upgrades are planned for its Atlanta and Mobile locations later this year, helping CPG continue providing seamless drayage solutions across a customer’s network.
“Reinvesting in our people, our facilities, and our technology – including DrayPal, our driver-facing mobile application to help them manage their business – will continue to bring us positive results,” added Palmer. “It’s our goal to cover every port and every rail across the United States, and moving up the rankings is a reflection of our progress so far.”
