Congratulations are in order for CPG's own Jordan Hunt, who was recently named as a member of the IANA Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee (IIEC).
"This is really an honor, and also a responsibility," says Jordan. "I’m excited to serve and proud to represent ContainerPort Group. Our brand awareness in the marketplace is strong and this opportunity is one way we can continue to build industry connections and use our years of intermodal experience to help strengthen the industry."
The IIEC consists of 5 teams, with each team comprised of one motor carrier representative, one steam ship line representative, and one rail representative. These teams are responsible for reviewing potential changes to the Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement (UIIA) , as well as resolving arbitration disputes relative to Per Diem, Equipment Rental and M&R. There decisions set precedents that impact the entire intermodal motor carrier community and the intermodal industry as a whole.
Jordan has been an active member of IANA throughout his time at CPG. He previously served as co-chair of the IANA Maintenance and Repair Committee, helping him become familiar with the structure of IANA and the things that its members can accomplish by working together.
